KATHRYN DAWSON

Kathryn (Katy) Dawson is a second year at the University of Michigan studying Theatre Performance: Directing. Having been involved all over the San Diego theatre scene, including The Old Globe, The La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Musical Theatre, Theatre Arts School of San Diego, San Diego Junior Theatre, and California Ballet Company, Katy has gained knowledge and experience from professionals in the industry. She completed her three years in the Envision Theatre Arts Conservatory program at Canyon Crest Academy, in which she has been apart of many production teams as assistant director along with performed in a number of shows. Having been an actor since childhood and now beginning her directing career, Katy understands the ins and outs of theatre and is passionate about telling important, marginalized stories through that medium.
